If you are struggling to remember where you have heard the name, Arnold Ziffel was that loveable pig from the hit television show “Green Acres”. This is actually the FIRST pig of seven that played the role. Because of the fact that pigs grow faster than the show’s director wanted Arnold to grow, it was necessary, fairly frequently, to replace the overgrown pigs. Most of the pigs that played Arnold were female, because they do not grow as large. But this is the original Arnold. He was creamated and his urn is located inside the casket of his trainer, Frank Inn, at Forest Lawn in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles.

According to reports, there was a real instance of a child with the ability, or disability, since it was involuntary, of starting thing around him ablaze. Discovered in the 1980s, a ten year old Italian boy named Benedetto Supino became the center of controversy and, presumably, a lot of dismay when things around him started to smolder. There is no evidence that he had any control over this, and in one instance, his own pajamas burst into flame while he slept, causing him injury. There is still no explanation for this phenomina.

The Holy Bible records that a man named Jonah was swallowed by “a large fish”, presumably a whale, and then coughed up later. It’s a very well known story. Much less well known is the fact that in 1891 a sailor on the British ship “The Star of the East” suffered essentially the same experience, minus any mention of punishment from God. James Bartley, a seaman on that boat, was helping fight to bring down a large sperm whale when he and another sailor disappeared. The other sailer was not seen again, but when the whale was being disected and brought aboard, the stomach was moving. Upon investigation, Mr. Bartley was found inside the stomach of the whale, alive.
