JIM NABORS dead of AIDS? (um… probably not.)

Back in the eighties or so, Jim Nabors, best known for his portrayal of “Gomer Pyle”, was reported dead of AIDS. The report, as I recall, even ran on national news channels. The news was interesting to Mr. Nabors, I am sure. As far as I know, as of this writing, he is still living on his farm in Hawaii.
(And in case he ever finds his way to this blog, Mr. Nabors, I loved both your acting AND your voice!)

Well ‘Jim Nabors’… I am glad you are still alive!
Maybe you could add… ‘Fake’ Death hoaxes like, ‘Jim Morrison is still alive, found hanging out at truck stops in deep south, singing his old tunes!’ or ‘Elvis is still alive, he just wanted to eat his cheeseburgers in peace!’…
???
