There aren’t a whole lot of people who don’t recognize the name Jimi Hendrix. For a left handed boy, he played a right handed guitar pretty well. So well, in fact, that he became a legend. On September 18, 1970, Hendrix was found unconscious by his girlfriend. Despite all attempts to revive him, he was declared dead at the scene. The coroner’s report states the cause of death as asphyxiation caused by his own vomit (yeah, I didn’t need that picture either.)

Hendrix’s body has been moved from his original gravesite and reburied, and can currently be found at the Greenwood Memorial Park in Washington.
