Christmas in Merry Olde England

December 25th, 2007

Here’s hoping your holiday is going well! I did find a bit of trvia that affects some of our overseas readers today…. In Britain, the Holy Days and Fasting Days Act of 1551, which has not yet been repealed, states that every citizen must attend a Christian church service on Christmas Day, and must not use any kind of vehicle to get to the service. Now, I am not very familiar with what actually goes on in Britain… wonder if anyone still obeys this law?:) Merry Christmas, folks!

Dan Fogelberg is a name well known to anyone who listened to soft rock music in the 1980s. His soft style was a trend setter in the world of soft rock, and he was loved by his fans, young and old alike. He is perhaps best remembered for his song “Leader of the Band”. He passed away today at the age of 56 after a long battle with prostate cancer. He will be missed greatly.
