Actor Allan Melvin has died of cancer in his home in Brentwood. He was 84 years old.

Melvin, who had a lengthy career playing supporting roles and sidekick roles, is best remembered for his portrayal of Sam the Butcher from the classic television series “The Brady Bunch” He will be missed by every Brady fan out there, I am sure. Including me. RIP, Sam.
