Taking a quick off topic time out here to discus something important. I have never understood why people declare bankruptcy. If you can afford to file it, you don’t need it. Seriously. Depending upon where you live, filing bankruptcy can cost anywhere from several hundred dollars to several thousand dollars. If you have that kind of money, you can take care of the debt yourself, or, if you don’t think you can, pick a Debt Management Plan that will work for you and stick to it. If you have the willpower, here’s what to do: cut up the credit cards. Then make a list of bills, most important to least important, with the ones having the highest interest rates having priority. Pay off any bills small enough to pay off with what you WERE going to spend on bankruptcy. Then, send the bill at the top of the list a large payment every month, and send the rest a ten dollar bill to keep things out of collections. As you pay off each bill, it gets easier, and eventually, you will be debt free. Bankruptcy foresn’t even pay off the hard ones, like student loans, and you are probably going to lose your house anyway. At this stage, your credit is shot, and bankruptcy only solidifies that. Use a little sense and have a little patience, stop living beyond your means, and things will come clear.

It would be great if the major computer manufacturers could manage to sell computers that are exactly what you need, wouldn’t it? Something with exactly the memory you want, exactly the right speed, with the right operating system? Maybe you don’t care about a CD-RW, but you sure could have used that DVD-RW? Or maybe you have the computer you want, but it needs a serious upgrade? Wouldn’t it be great if you could just sidestep the major manufacturers and Build a Computer? Well, guess what. Now you can! The website that the above link leads to, http://www.easyasmypc.com, sells PC kits that you can actually assemble, to your specifications, with instructions written in real, easy to understand English. Think about it… an wasy, do it yourself way to get the PC you want without spending a fortune. Bypassing the major manufacturers, you can not only build it yourself, at least, you can if you can operate a screwdriver… you can make sure it has the right memory, the right speed, the right everything. Know what we do? When our teens want to own a computer, we tell them they can have one when they can build their own… and we mean it! They love the challenge, and they learn alot about computers in the process! What could be better?

Karen Ann Quinlan is remembered, unfortunately, for falling into a coma and not waking up. The theory is that she was mixing drugs and alcojol at a party, and the coma was the result. After a tear in the coma, her family requested that she be removed from life support. The hospital refused, resulting in one of the first and definitely the most famous “right to die” lawsuits ever. Ebentually, the family won and life support was removed. Karen refused to die, however. She lived for over eight years after the removal of life support, eventually dying of pneumonia. She is buried at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, New Jersey.
